Do You Think I’m Sexy?
At least a couple of people think I’m a sexy geek. That’s pretty cool. Although, I hope it’s my mind (and fanatical drive toΒ popularize science) they find sexy.
I have been nominated for the Wired Magazine 2007 Sexiest Geek Contest. It really is an honor to be up there with all those other geeks. Especially when there are so many more geeks out there not even being recognized. (I think I need to nominate Lisa Randall.) Thanks to those who have voted for me. I forgive you if you voted me down. And, if you haven’t voted me up yet, what are you waiting for? Click the link and scroll through the list until you find me.

congrats you sexy geek you.
It’s your mind and your red hair.
Hi Kirsten. I wish you the best of luck in 2008 which sounds like it’s going to be a very exciting year for you.
I have enjoyed both your Food Science video show and of course TWIS. Are there going to be anymore TWIS podcast?
I am sure live radio can be fun however I would guess that producing a podcast on your own time schedule might give you more time to organize the material.
We need more shows like yours to present science in a more accurate, and of course entertaining, way. The mainstream media pretty much sucks at science news broadcasting.
I look forward to your video and audio podcast science shows in 2008.
Ed
I really think that it is the content that is sexy, and not too many people can pull that off. Your delivery is just the icing on the cake.
ps.. the fact that you would give a nod to Lisa Randall just show why you are at the top of the heap.
good luck in 2008!!
Beauty, Brains and Style.
What could be sexier!!
I don’t believe you can get to ‘sexy’ without a beautiful, wonderful brain. Good luck!
Few people are just as sexy in their mind as they are physically. You definately deserve the title!
*blushing* Thanks everyone. π
Why are only men commenting?
Oh yeah . . .
You surely deserve the title. Your very beautiful and smart. You have the combo there is. That is why people nominated you. Geeky guys get hope when they see women in your position. Guys find it amazing to have someone who looks like you, is educated, smart, and thinks technically.
Kiki,
smart, atractive and properly blogged.
sexy is a start, but from our perspective you have this (pardon my French) je ne sais quoi…
Hey! You’re listed twice now!
Hell Yeah!
It is all of the above
and a hot new blog design too!
go kiki!
Oh yes, very so – as I pointed out more than half a year ago (http://silberbauer.dk/wp/2007/08/the-unicorn-museum-is-online/)
You have my vote.
Hello, I’ve never commented here before, but I listen to the TWIS podcast over here in the UK.
I’d just like to mention that I love your voice and giggle in addition to the hair and science and stuff. I would go on about beauty being only skin deep and all that but this *is* a post entitled ‘Do You Think I’m Sexy?’ and you can’t have it both ways… π
Keep up the good work!

Actually, i saw you for the first time on Lab with Leo the other day (probably taped in December though). I thoroughly enjoyed the segment, and ended up browsing your blog. Quite frankly, you are indeed very sexy, and you will sure to be having lots of people keeping an eye on you (so to speak). I’m sure I would love to have a conversation with you, I’m betting it’d be about science tho! (but ya never know)
I thought you were sexy until you asked us if we thought you were sexy.
I think your nice looking and very smart. but it seems like you could be very annoying at times.
Ineed a respectifull reach sexy beautifull girl which will care for me and repect me and she should be abide by my regulation
